Referees Tournament
Eden
travelled to West Park to take part in a 6 team tournament.
Eden defeated West Park (25-7; 25-11), Heritage (25-5;
25-11), St. Paul (25-7; 25-13),
St. Francis (25-9; 25-14) and Smithville Christian
(25-14; 25-18) to finish first overall.

10 Stratford Early
Bird Tournament
Eden
travelled to Stratford to take part in a 10 team tournament. In
round robin play Eden defeated St. Marys (25-6; 25-12),
Sacred Heart (25-18; 25-16), Ingersoll (25-21;
25-19), St. Michael (25-18;
25-20)
to finish first in their Pool. Eden
than played Kincardine in the semi-finals
and were defeated 25-22 and 25-18.

15 Eden Early Bird
Invitational Tournament
Eden
hosted a 10 team tournament. In round robin play
Eden defeated St. Michael (25-12; 25-13), Oakville Trafelgar
from Oakville (25-10; 25-15), and split their next two
matches with Barton (24-25; 25-15), and
split with Bishop Ryan from Hamilton (25-20; 20-25) to
finish first in their Pool. Eden than took
on Barrie North in the semi-finals and came
away with
a
25-18 and 25-19 victory to advance to the finals. In
the finals Eden played Waterloo Collegiate and defeated
them 2 games to 0 to capture the Gold Medal. Scores were
25-22 and 25-21.

16/17 McMaster University Tournament
Eden
took part in a 30 team tournament at McMaster University. In
round robin play Eden defeated London South (25-11;
21-25; 15-12), Hamilton Catherdal (25-19; 25-10), and
Assumption
(25-11; 25-7) to
finish first in their Pool. Eden than played
St. Jean de Brebeuf in the
pre-quarters and defeated them 25-12 and 25-13. In
the quarter-finals Eden took on Westmount
and defeated them 25-12 and 25-13
to advance
to the semi-finals. Here, Eden played Lucas High School
from London and defeated them 25-18 and 25-16 to advance
to the finals where they met up with ACMT and
defeated them 18-25; 25-21 and 15-10 in a hard fought
battle to finish first and capture the Gold medal.

23/24 University of Waterloo Tournament
Eden
took part in a 24 team tournament at the University of
Waterloo. In
round robin play Eden defeated Westmount (25-14; 25-17),
Durham Christian (25-15; 25-10), and split games with
St. Michaels (22-25; 25-17), Forest Heights (25-19: 24-26)
and Saunders (25-23; 22-25) to finish third in their
Pool. Teams were then re-pooled and Eden
defeated Sir John A. MacDonald (25-21; 25-13), Woodland
Christian (25-22; 25-20) and split with Waterloo Collegiate
(16-25; 25-14) to finish first in their pool. In the
pre-quarters Eden defeated Westmount 25 to 17 and 25
to 15 to advance to the quarter-finals. Here
Eden took on Regiopolis last years Triple A OFSAA Champions
and in an exciting back and forth game Regiopolis came
out on top 22 to 25; 25 to 21 and 19 to 17.

1 Niagara College Tournament
Eden
took part in a 16 team tournament at Niagara College. In
round robin play Eden defeated Ingersol (25-21; 25-18;
25-17), Oakville Blakelock (25-11; 25-14: 25-18) to
finish first in their Pool. Eden
than played John McGregor in the quarter-finals
and defeated them 25-12 and 25-15 to advance to the
semi-finals. In the semi-finals
Eden played Academie Mere-Teresa and defeated
them 25-14 and 25-16
to advance to the finals where they met up with F. E.
Madill and defeated them 25- 23; 16- 25 and 16-14 in
a hard fought battle to finish first and capture the
Gold

N. Myer Tournament
Eden
took part in a 10 team tournament at A. N. Myer
Secondary School. In
round robin play Eden defeated St. Francis (25-21;
25-8), Confederation (25-10; 25-11), E. L. Crossley
(25-17; 25-16) and split games with Smithville
Christian (19-25; 25-18) to finish first in their
Pool. Eden
than played St. Paul High School in the semi-finals
and defeated them 25- 8 and 25-13 to advance to
the finals. In the finals Eden
played Smithville Christian and defeated them 25-20
and 25-18 to finish
first and capture the Gold medal.

14/15 Chatham Kent Tournament
Eden
took part in a 18 team tournament at Chatham Kent. In
round robin play Eden defeated Central Elgin (25-
9; 25-18), F. E. Madill (25- 20; 25-21) to
finish first in their Pool. Teams were then
repooled and Eden Urseline College and split games
losing the first 26 - 27 but winning the second
25 - 12. In there second game they played John
McGregor and wond the first game 25-21 but lost
the second 24 -26. In their third pool game Eden
took on Oakridge and defeated them 25-21 and 25-20
to finish second in the pool. In the quarter-finals
Eden took on a very athletic Forest Heights team
and came away with a hard earned victory 25-27;
29-27 and 15 -11 to advance to the semi-finals.
In
the semi-finals Eden played Waterloo Collegiate
and were defeated 25-27; 25-19; and 11-15. In the
Bronze Medal game Eden defeated Chatham Kent 25-22
and 26-24 to capture the Bronze medal.

Tournament
Eden
hosted a 10 team tournament. In round robin
play Eden defeated Niagara Christian (25-16; 25-15),
St. Andrew's College from Orillia (25-20; 25-18),
Orchard Park from Stoney Creek (25-15;
25-12), and Woodland Christian from Waterloo
(25-22; 25-23) to finish first in their Pool. Eden
than took on Georgetown in the semi-finals
and came away with a 25-20 and 25-20 victory to
advance to the finals. In the finals Eden
played Ajax and defeated them 2
games to 0 to capture the Gold Medal. Scores were
25-21 and 25-16.

Mike's College Showcase Tournament
Eden
took part in the St. Mike's Showcase tournament
in Toronto. In round
robin play Eden lost to Regiopolis from Kingston
(21-25; 19-25) but then won their next two matches.
They defeated last years Quad A OFSAA Champions
St. Mike's 25 -22; 20 - 25 and 15-10 and then defeated
Rick Hansen 25-22 and 25 - 16 to finish second
in their Pool. Eden

Holy Names from Windsor in the quarter finals and
lost 23- 25 and 16-25.

took part in a 30 team tournament at Rick Hansen
and Mississauga Secondary School. In
round robin play Eden defeated Durham Christian
(25-11;

Oakville Trafelgar (25-13; 25-12),
John Paul 2 (25-18; 25-16), St. Joseph (25
- 6; 25 - 23) but then lost a close match to Mississauga
(23 - 25; 23 - 25) to finish
second in their Pool. Eden
than took
on Uxbridge in the first round of the play-offs
and were defeated. Scores were 25 - 23; 18 - 25;
and 13-15.

Eden
took part in the Colonel By Cougar Challenge in
Ottawa. In round robin play Eden defeated
Widdifield from North Bay (29 - 27; 25 - 18; 25
- 23), Franco Cite from Ottawa (25 - 22; 30 - 28;
20 - 25; 25 - 17) and Bishop Ryan ( 25 - 16; 25
- 22; 25 - 18) to finish first in their Pool. Eden
than played Glebe from Ottawa in the
semi- finals and defeated them 25- 21; 25 - 18;
12 - 25 and 31- 29 to advance to the finals. here
Eden took on Franco Cite and were defeated 24 -
26; 16 - 25; 26 - 28.

DOUBLE A CHAMPIONSHIP
in STRATFORD:
Nov.
24/25/26
Eden
travelled to Stratford as the number one seed for
the Double A OFSAA Championships. In
round robin play Eden defeated C. W. Jeffreys S.
S. the 20th seed ( 25 - 14;
25 - 13), St. Michael Choir the 16th seed (25
- 14; 25 - 19), John McGregor S. S. the 6th seed
( 25 - 15; 25 - 16) and Westminster S. S. the 11th
seed ( 21 - 25; 25
- 21; 15 - 12) to finish first in their Pool. On
the Friday Eden than played Dryden in the
quarterfinals and defeated them 25- 18; 25
- 21; and 25 -
22 to advance to the semi-finals. Here Eden
took on Loyalist Collegiate from Kingston and defeated
them in a tough match 27 to 25; 25 to 13 and 25
to 23. With the win Eden advanced to the OFSAA
Finals against the number two seed Franco Cite.
Eden jumped out to an early lead in the first
game to only see Franco Cite come back and make
it a nail biter of a game as Eden hung on for a
25 to 23 victory. In the second game Eden defeated
Franco 25 to 21 to take a 2 games to 0 lead. However,
Franco Cite had no intentions of giving up the
chance to win the OFSAA title and they battle hard
and won the next two games 21 to 25 and 17 to 25.
The Gold Medal came down to one game to 15 points.
Both teams came out fighting hard as they traded
points back and forth. Eden eventual took the lead
at 10 to 8 and continued to hold the two point
lead as the teams traded points up to 14 to 13.
With the fans cheering for a victory and being
drained after two long hours Greg Piggot put away
the winning point with a devasting quick attack
that set off a victory celebration for Eden. With
the victory it gave Eden it's Sixth Consecutive
OFSAA Double A Championship.
