IDEAS
"DSBN Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance of Students (IDEAS) is a leadership opportunity to make positive changes and address social justice issues in schools and across the DSBN.  Posters have been placed in the guidance office and throughout the school. Scan the QR code from the posters or go to our school website to follow a link on the banner to apply online. Wellness Fair
Get ready for our upcoming Wellness Fair happening on Friday, May 22nd during lunch! Community partners and wellness organizations will be set up in the foyer throughout the day, sharing information and resources focused on health and well-being.

Students are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, and learn about mental wellness supports in our community.  Be sure to participate, because every student who participates will be entered into a raffle draw for a special prize!  Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to connect, learn, and support your wellness. We hope to see everyone there!

Student Council Elections
Keep a close eye on the Eden Flyers Instagram account!  Starting Tuesday, Student Council candidates will be sharing why they’re the perfect choice for next year’s council.  

Each day will feature different candidates, followed by a classroom vote to choose your favourite.  Stay tuned, show your support, and make your vote count!

Track & Field
Despite the chilly weather, the Eden team came out hot yesterday at the zone 4 championships in Welland.   Special shout outs go to Living-Wonder Ajomiwe, Jessica Zhakova, Victor Lee, Ronin Wiens, Kaylee Power, Evan Wilson, Andrew Bayne and Franklin Kang for finishing 1st overall in their individual events.  We also dominated the relays with 1st place finishes in both mens and womens 4 by 400, novice and senior mens 4 by 100, and senior womens 4 by 100.  Congratulations to all the athletes for giving their best effort and to everyone who advanced to SOSSA next week.

Girls Rugby
Congratulations to the girls rugby team on another team effort on the pitch and scoreboard. Leading the way on the scoresheet was backs MVP, Emma F with 10 points, Elaina with 9 points, Ashlyn, Ruby, Vienna, Dani, Ellyot, Oriana, and in her debut rugby game AJ with 5 points each. Rounding out the scoresheet was Ellie and Bella with 1 convert each. Shout-out to Jakayla for her impressive transitional play, and to forwards MVP Keira for her high intensity all game. Practice will be Tuesday morning at 7:30am on the turf field to prepare for Zone finals next week!

French Club
French Club meets today at lunch in Room 110.  Come out on for fun and immersive conversation in French!
