School nurse
Jacqui, your school nurse, is here today. Stop by for confidential support with any health concern, including sleep, healthy eating, stress management, sexual health information and services or connecting with health services in the community. Students can text for an appointment or just drop in today before 11am!
Grad Hoodies
We have had another shipment of grad hoodies, please stop by the office if you ordered a grad hoodie from Maddalena’s.
Eclectic Tendencies
If you are a senior student looking to join Eclectic Tendencies, please see or email Mr. Moccio about an audition. We are looking for people who can sing and work well with others. Playing an instrument is a bonus!
Eden Choir
The Eden choir will be starting soon. If you are interested in singing in the choir, everyone is welcome. No auditions are required! Please see Mr Moccio or email him to let him know you are interested. We will start on Monday, October 19 from 3-4 pm in room 156.
Jazz Band
There will be a jazz band rehearsal tomorrow after school as well as Concert band on Thursday.
Create Sparks
Create Sparks will have their first official meeting this Wednesday October 7th after school in room 148. If you missed the information session, you’re still welcome to come. No experience needed. We will brainstorm ideas for our next project and introduce the 3D printing software.
Ethics Club
Join the ethics club to participate in collaborative dialogue with students and compete at McMaster in the Ethics bowl. The ethics club will have its first meeting Wednesday October 7th in room 134 at lunch.
Cappies
Interested in taking part in Cappies this year? Come to a meeting at lunch on Wednesday in Room 220!
Yearbooks
Today is the last day that your period 4 teacher will have your yearbook for you. If you have not picked it up please do so. If you do not have a class during p.4 you can pick your book up in the main office.
Post-Secondary Presentations
Attention all Grade 12s! Please be sure to sign-up for any upcoming post-secondary presentations. Guelph is today during Period 1, Toronto Metropolitan University is today during Period 4 and Queen’s University will be here on Thursday during Period 1. Check the guidance door for QR codes and don’t miss out!
SHSM
Attention all Grade 11 students! If you are interested in joining one of Eden’s six Specialist High Skills Major programs - Agriculture, Business, Construction, Health & Wellness, Sport or Transportation! Last day to sign-up is Friday Oct 9! Come to guidance to learn more or to register.
Harvest for Hunger Food Drive
Many families in our community rely on Community Care, our local food bank, and we need your help to make a difference! Bring in non-perishable food items like canned tuna, pasta sauce, peanut butter or cereal to your Period 1 class. The food drive will run until Friday Oct 16.
The Period 1 class that collects the most items wins per student will win a prize. Let's work together to help local families in need. Every single item counts!
Boys Football
Please excuse members of the boys football team today at 11:00am.
Flag Football
Huge congratulations to the girls flag football team, who went 2 and 1 yesterday, defeating Laura Secord and Governor Simcoe! Both our offensive and defensive lines came up huge when we needed them. Shut-out to Magesty, Natalia, and Osose for scoring our touchdowns for the day! Overall, great team effort!
Athletic Council

Tennis
Congratulations to all of the junior tennis players who competed in yesterdays Zone Chanpionships. A special shoutout to Grace W. for winning the girls singles title as well as Stella B. and Nirjhar B. for winning the mixed doubles category. Mr. Stickney, Mr. Zelic and Mr. Krall are so proud of what all of you competing were able to accomplish in yesterdays tournament. There will be a practice today after school for those individuals moving on to SOSSA.
