SLC Updates--The First 25

Picture Day
Today is picture day! Please listen for announcements regarding when classes are to come down. Teachers please remember to go on your prep to get your updated photo.
Field Hockey
All girls interested in playing field hockey this year need to respond to the google survey emailed this week. If we do not hear from you you will not be able to participate in next weeks tournament! Please see Miss Morrison if you have questions!
Boys Football
If you would like to sign-up for boys football, please scan the QR code outside of the gym office. Complete permission to participate form on School Cash Online. Please email Ms.Pavlovich if you have any questions. IN addition, practice is cancelled for today after school.
Cross Country
There will be a quick information meeting today at lunch in room 237 for all Cross Country Athletes. No experience needed. Scan the QR code to sign up outside the PE office or room 237. Email Mrs. Kostesky if you have any questions.
Girls Flag Football
Girls Flag Football tryouts will begin next week outside on the turf field during lunch. Please complete the sign-up form in the phys ed hallway. Wednesday’s tryout will be grade 9 and 10s only, Thursday’s tryout will be 11 and 12s only.
Jr. Boys Volleyball
There will be a grade nine tryout in Gym C on Monday. The tryout will run right after school. If you haven’t already please scan the QR code outside the PE office before coming to the tryout. Please contact Mr. Landry if you have any questions.
Golf Team
Just a quick reminder that sign up for the tryout on SCO closes today at 3pm or once the 32 available spots are filled. For those who have registered, be ready for Monday, rain or shine the day will happen. But remember, it never rains on the golf course!
Jr tennis team
All grade 9 and 10 students interested in playing on the Eden tennis team this year, our first tryout will be on Monday after school at Linlake Park. Scan the QR code outside rom 157 to sign up. If you have any questions please direct them to Mr. Krall, Mr. Zelic or Mr. Stickney.
Attention all Eden Musicians!
There will be a meeting on Tuesday at lunch in music room 157 to discuss this years extra curricular bands. If you are interested in being a part of this years Concert Band or Jazz Band come by Rm 157 this coming Tuesday at lunch. Hope to see you there!!
Terry Fox
It’s official! Eden’s walkathon on our new track will be happening all day next week on Friday September 18th. Plans are coming together and will be presented during the grad assemblies. The expectation will be that each participant will fundraise a minimum of $25 which will be donated directly online through our Eden Terry Fox page. So this weekend, talk to your parents and get excited about raising funds for cancer research.
Remember, Terry ran a marathon a day for 143 consecutive days in his effort to raise cancer awareness. You are being challenged to walk just over 3 hours during our event. School Cash Online permission forms will be available from Monday - Wednesday next week in preparation for the big day. Get involved for a great cause Flyers!!
Math Homework Help
Your math work has started and your Eden math teachers are here to help! Drop into our math homework help sessions Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 - 4:00. Room 209 & 210. All grades welcome. Looking forward to seeing you there.
