SLC Updates--The First 25
We are in our Student Stories series so come and hear how students have connected with SLC programs. We meet at 8:15am in the chapel located in the cafeteria, so bring some friends and check it out!

DRAMA - “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” - Auditions
Hello everyone! Ms. Straitton here. This is the moment you have been waiting for - auditions are starting soon for The Legend of Sleepy Hollow! Auditions will take place over 2 days - Monday October 5th, and Wednesday October 7th. You only need to sign up to audition one of the 2 days - each day will have a limit of 30 spots. The auditions will be from 3-5pm each day.
A number of people will be asked to attend CALLBACKS on Wednesday, October 14th, to finalize roles and assess vocal ability for main characters. Callbacks will also be from 3-5pm.
If you wish to be considered for an acting role for this year’s production you MUST attend one of the 2 preliminary audition dates and the CALLBACK date if necessary. There will be no exceptions. Please do not ask to come late or leave early - we are considering only committed applicants for these roles.
Come to the auditions ready to participate in energetic drama games. Dress appropriately and bring something to write with. You do not need to prepare any material.
Sign up sheets and information will be posted on the door to the drama room! Come out and be part of the LEGEND!
Student Photo’s
Reminder that your photo orders are due by October 1st. Photo retake day is October 13th. Students who have not received their photo cards yet should come to the main office to pick them up.
Student Parking Passes
Students who have completed the google form to park at Eden can come to the main office between 8:30 and 11:30 any day this week to pick up the parking pass for their vehicle.

Chess Club
Tomorrow is the last chance to return your permission form for this week’s chess tournament at Laura Secord! Please see Mr. Maguire in Room 230 to hand it in.
Robotics Club!
Hey Eden, the robotics club is back in session! Come down if you’re interested in robotics and building your skills. All new members are welcome and the first meeting will be tomorrow, Tuesday after school in room 148. Any questions, talk to Mr. Vanderkooy, see you then!
HOSA
This is a very important announcement for all registered members who have paid for HOSA. You must have received an email with a link to a ZOOM meeting for Competitive Events Week which is a series of online sessions dedicated to exploring all of the competitive events offered by HOSA. In each session, HOSA Canada staff will guide you through the wide range of competitive events.The first Zoom meeting is today Sept 28th at 5pm in the evening. You attend through your computer at 5 pm. If you need more information come to see Mrs. Rekhi/Ms. Gilmore at lunch today in Rm 133.

College Fair
Students who are signed up for the College Fair today need to attend their Period 1 classes. You will be called down to the front foyer at 9:40am to board the bus.
Fitness Room on Wednesdays
Every Wednesday the Fitness room after school will be reserved for Women. Whether you're an experienced lifter or stepping into a weight room for the very first time, Wednesdays are set aside specifically for female students to train in a comfortable, supportive environment. No experience needed—come work out with friends and crush your fitness goals. See you after school on Wednesday.
Tennis Team
Attention all Grade 9/10 tennis players there is a mandatory practice today after school at Linlake Park as we prepare for Zone this Thursday.
Field Hockey
All members of the second field hockey team need to check their emails and reply ASAP as we prepare for the league games. All first team members are reminded of practice tonight!
Cross Country
Attention ALL Cross Country Athletes! TODAY AT LUNCH come to room 237 for Jersey pick up! First come first serve! You do not want to miss out! Please see Mr. Bayne or Mrs. Kostesky if you have any questions.
SHSM Health and Wellness
If you are an SHSM Health and Wellness student from last year, please come collect your ¾ zip sweater from Mrs. Caldwell-D’Sa in the library at lunch.
Yearbooks
Just a reminder that you can get your yearbook in your period 4 class. If you do not have a period 4 class, an online class or you are in co-op there will be further instructions on how to pick up your book tomorrow.

Flyers, it is your responsibility to know your combination to get into your locker. It is also your responsibility to fully lock your locker when you are not standing in front of it.
