Senior Girls Volleyball
The Senior Girls volleyball team hoped and fought to manifest a different result at this year’s SOSSA. They came out strong in the semi-final, defeating Notre Dame in 3 sets, running special Offensive plays: - Hailey Epp ran slides and quicks from the middle and right side. - Jaelyn had phenomenal coverage on defense, converting many first passes into attacks, even running an X with Hailey in the front row. - Maria and Tessa demonstrated powerful attacks and smart tips from the left side and covered the back court aggressively. - Jenna Vrolijk served a phenomenal run of 12 serves in a row, through 2 time outs. - Co-captain Hailey C played aggressively as lib, consistently digging and covering to recycle plays. - Co-captain,Mattea also served big runs, set intelligently and skillfully to capitalize on our Offensive options and made some incredible defensive plays.

Our Bench energy was #1. Period. This win in the semi-final fueled our incredible start to the final against Westmount, last year’s SOSSA champ. They didn’t see us coming and our energy and drive were more than they could handle in the first set. Westmount was a strong team however; they did an incredible job covering their own court, not letting the ball drop in our attacks. Our Eden girls made a final surge in the 4th game, bringing their energy up and nearly tying the game, but the events did not go as we hoped. They left it all on the court and coaches are so proud
