Announcements for February 6th, 2026

Good morning!
Today marks the opening of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy! We want to wish all athletes from every country the best of luck as they compete on the world stage.  We’re especially proud to highlight Canadian bobsledder Keaten Bruggeling, an Eden graduate, who is representing Canada at the Olympics. Way to go, Keaten—we’re cheering you on!

Cafeteria
Today’s feature is Hot Nashville Chicken Wrap with Soup or Fries.

Black History month
In honour of black history month we will be sharing quotes throughout the month. “The time is always right to do what is right.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Black Student Association
The BSA will be meeting today in Rm 112. We have an important meeting to plan activities and events to celebrate Black History Month.  All Black students and allies are encouraged to attend!

All Students
All students should have their own lockers, sharing a locker is not allowed under any circumstances. If you do not have a locker, please come to the main office and speak with Mrs. Telford. Students are not to be sharing lockers.

Girls Rugby Indoor Training
If you would like to participate in optional winter training for girls rugby, sign-up outside of the PE office. 

Fitness Centre
The fitness centre will re-open on Monday February 9th. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Houston. 

Track and field
Attention all Track and Field Athletes! If you are interested in getting a kick start to the season and start racking up your practices, pre-season, The fitness room will be open Tuesdays after school for you to work on strength training or cardio. Mrs. Kostesky will have some workout plans if you are looking for guidance of where to start or specifics for your events! Put it in your calendar and I look forward to seeing you Tuesday from 3-4 in the fitness centre. 

Dance Team
Attention all Dancers, we are starting back up next Wednesday Morning at 7:30am in Gym C! All are welcome, no experience required! If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Kostesky. 

Wrestling
Yesterday, members of the wrestling team traveled to West Niagara for another tournament! Big congratulations to Bella and Oriana on their Silver medals, and to the rest of the team for amazing sportsmanship, and giving their all in their matches! Wrestling practice will continue today for all wrestlers.
